Thoth Prayer from 1979

"You and I are together in His shadow."

Thoth - Pray this prayer with me: As I pray, may I become a living prayer, and with my eyes may beauty rise from the dust of the vanquished Earth. As I speak, may all tongues find meaning together. Christ of the Living God, God of the Living Spirit in Man, I raise my cup to your lips so that you might know me in your time. I wash the words of your Sacred Heart in the tears of the Mother, whose love for Her Son knows no bounds, nor wearies with time.

I have walked with you in the foot-places of your way, and have seen the grievous chastisement that you have borne for me . You reach the vine where I cannot. You fast in my stead from the fruit thereof.

Holy is your day among the living. Joyous is your time among the dead. For he who has pressed the hem of your garment to his cheek is consumed with the fire of Eternal Life.

Blessed are those who hunger and seek, for it is the Sacred Quest in which each heart resolves the struggle of the flesh. No man passes the Lord by and knows Him not, but rather he knows Him, yet denies Him, and with every denial the need to the acknowledge the Truth grows stronger.

Rejoice that you are among this age when man*s spiritual need shall overcome his fear. It is a time that will never pass upon the Earth again, as surely as He will never be born of woman upon the Earth again. But also know that all ages are one upon the Eternal Calendar, and the agony of the Christ*s walk to Calvary is never-ending so long as our need to partake of His suffering is present. Yea, He is truly the Communion of Man. His Flesh and Blood are the rituals of the Quest. We drink of His blood so that we might live in pursuit of our own understanding. As we consume His flesh we are given endurance which comes not from our own residing, but from a greater wealth than a million ages can give us. There is no distance between us (Thoth / the Masters and humanity) when measured with the rod of Divine Intelligence. You and I are together in His shadow.
